Houndstooth present Norwegian duo Soft as Snow, backed with an remix from Old Apparatus' Asher Levitas. An experimental pop duo based in London via Oslo, they arrive at an emotive Scando-pop style on 'Glass Body' after years collaborating in art projects and even starting their own "utopic" art and music festival in a Swedish forest. Their sound is a dramatic and passionate brand of technoid wave-pop, inescapably comparable with the Dreijer siblings or even Grimes, but also sharing moody, synthetic similarities with the likes of Sand Circles, Frak or 1991 thanks to their palette of vintage analogue hardware. Check the spiralling 2-step synth-pop of 'Glass Body', the Ben Frost-like tension of 'All Our Beasts', and the curious fusion of exotic percussion and blown-out electro-dub pop in 'Drops Of Amour', then Asher Levitas' sweeping remix of 'Halo Heart' ~ Boomkat Review
